How easy to remove a bidet?

Wondering how easy it is to remove one of these - we might be buying a house that has one, and we won't be wanting it. Does it drain out through the wall or the floor? I would get a plumber in to remove it, just wondering how much damage there might be to floor or tiles (walls fully tiled, floor carpet will be removed anyway). We would be putting a unit or some sort of storage cabinet in its place. Will we have pipes to block off etc? I'm hoping it's nothing like the bit for a toilet.

Just think of it as a low floor mounted basin. Hot, cold and waste pipe to disconnect and blank off. The waste pipe is not the size of the toilet waste. The making good will be obvious once it has been removed.

That's great. Thank you. Sounds like it's totally possible, but that I will need to put something in place of where it was. I'm hoping to get a unit to sit there anyway, which will be taller than the bidet was.
  • I'd leave it in place as you sound like you have not used one, great for hygiene. Leave it for a while and get some plumbing experience and repair work under your belt first.

Definitely want it removed, hate the sight of the things. I realise some people may like them but I'm really not keen on them at all! They even horrify me when I see them on holiday. I'm not going to learn plumbing either, I just wondered if it would be hard to get a plumber to remove it.

    Thanks though.

It would take no more than an hour for it to be removed. As DirectDebacle says, just think of it as a very low sink.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
