    The built in firewall in Vista/Windows 7 is fine, if you use a router it has a fire wall built in.
    For Antivirus/antispyware try Microsoft security essentials which is free.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    I believe the firewall in the paid version is not that good (unless it has changed in V.10?) but as most posters here who use Avira use the free version why not try that.
  • I don't feel that avira is any better than Comodo Internet Security, whch is completely free and has a very effective and configurable firewall.

    Completely agree with all that. Unless theyve seriously updated their firewall its awful
