de-clutter like mad before you move... every time you leave the house take something to the dustbin , charity shop or tip.. we all have faaaar too much stuff.. or advertise it on freecycle and get rid of it for free....
if you pack up all your own stuff that saves money, but most removal firms will not insure it if they have not packed it so you cannot claim for breakages....
empty your freezer ahead of time, its easier to move an empty one
if you are moving yourself rather than employing a firm, pack things in small boxes... by 4.30pm you will be so tired that you will be lucky if you can lift a plastic spoon let alone a large box !!!
good luck0
