Get water pump done at same time. And all pulleys etc
Sounds cheap to me.0 -
that is a good price - my cambelt went on the corsa about 4 years ago. a friend of mine did the work in the evenings and total bill was around £500 - would have been alot more at a garage.
i had to have the valves re-worked and i agree with other poster about getting waterpump etc done too.
the shame is with my car that the engine is fine but the suspension is bu**ered so will have to scrap come mot timeit's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
my concern would be at that price i couldnt see them changing any valve guides if they are damaged, which they often are if there has been valve/piston contact. if they leave damaged ones in the new valves will wear out pretty quick.0

Corsa suspension bu**ered and your going to scrap it?
It cant be THAT bad surely. Corsas are buttons for parts. If you've a friend that fixed the engine, they'll be able to do the suspension too.0 -
It's a Corsa for **, scrap it anyway,

it is N reg - 1996 - so probably not worth the hassle - haven't seen the guy who fixed it for me for years now...it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -

if it's family rates new guides recut valve seats and a skim are do-able for £500 and it would be done right, but if it was a garage quoting that price i'd be sus.0
