I got my hotpoint from Asda as it was the cheapest at the time, £100 cheaper than Argos.
But looking at the Hotpoints now, Argos have one £230 - £100 off the old price.

Asda's cheapest is £250 plus you have to pay £18.95 dlivery - ouch!

It's worth checking how many units of power they use over the year too....I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

John Lewis tend to offer an extra guarantee, so compare their prices with others.
Use kelkoo, dealtime etc. to compare the price of the fridge you want - frost free freezers are great, I'd not go back to standard one now. Do you want the fridge bit on the top or bottom, what colour do you want it?

i wanted a black one, but they are too expensive..so i will stick to silver, i have a frost free one currently which is leaking
so thats why i am replacing it.
i would like the fridge at the top, as that is what i am used to
thank you so much for your suggestions0 -
Where's the leak, it might be cheaper to fix yours?
Hmm is it the compressor, get a new one if it is.
I spent 6 hours on the internet looking for the right one at the right price - it's worth the extra effort to make the savingsI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

i don't know about pricing but in my time have always bought fridge freezers from currys - sometimes they do an offer where they take the old one away. some places charge £15 or similar to take the old one. the council here charge about £20 to take up to three items away so you should consider the cost of disposal too.
i recently bought a washing machine from tesco and their delivery service was good too.it's nice to be important but more important to be nice!! :kisses3:0 -
Have been looking for new appliances myself and the following websites seem to be very competitive:
1. empiredirect
2. appliances direct
Empire charge a flat £20 for delivery no matter how many appliances you buy, also deliver on saturdays or next day (costs extra), don't know about appliances direct's delivery prices.0 -
“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”0

Founds ours to be cheapest at Boots Appliances.0

I got one for my parents a Hotpoint Frost Free Fridge Freezer from Kitchen Science. It was cheaper than anywhere else. Just shop around.
Give us the make and model you want and someone on here will probably get you a bargain.0
