Locked pdf application form?

Morning all.
I have a large application form in pdf format but it seems to be locked. I can't fill in any of the fields.
Not much use to me when I need to bounce it back and fore to my colleague for comments.
Am I missing something really simple here?

If you only have Adobe Acrobat Reader then you will not be able to edit PDF documents. If you have the full version or an equivalent then it may be protected for editing.0

I have preview (mac) at home where I am now, but I can't access it at my office either.
Not a lot of use as an application form
I'll try pasting it to a word doc for now.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar

It's probably intended to be printed out and for you to write and then post.0

Have a look at File, Document Properties, Security Tab.

You can download the free Adobe Reader from here.

Thanks espresso, I've downloaded and opened the doc on adobe.
File>properties> security says 'form filling is allowed'
All I can get is the grabby hand when I try

That is because Adobe Reader is just that a reader or viewer and you need Adobe Acrobat to edit or create pdf's.

If you have Serif PagePlus 11 on your PC it will open a pdf. I have used it on a number of application forms in pdf format. You can open the pdf, fill in the blank fields, save it as a pdf or print it out. Its cheaper than Adobe Acrobat but it still costs £99.99 from Serif apparently. Suggest you try eBay like I did. Its a lot cheaper there.0
