I can understand how angry you may feel but I would go to my doctor and ask for some counselling and while I was waiting for that help I would join some self help groups and contact some charities to get some help with living with what had happened.

As for retaliation, well it really isn't worth going down that route because it leads to more heartache and trouble. You may want to get some couples counselling also if you and your partner have any unresolved issues.

Violence is never the way to deal with problems.

I'm not sure what disabilities you have but there are many charities and groups out there to help you vent if you need to.

I understand that you are upset, but this is not a suitable place to discuss such a subject.

The Samaritans are available 24 hours a day, and can be contacted on 08457 90 90 90.

i have several large friends , they all own hoodies, i would ask them to have a quiet word with the ignorant !!!!!!, i know it sounds pc to people to quote that violence is never the answer, but generally those people dont know what its like to feel threatened, scared and intmidated, if they did they would soon change there minds and see things differently, my heart goes out to you, keep strong and dont let it wear you down is my best advice, you must be strong if you have put up with it for 5 years already!

    Dear Laury,

I understand that all this disability is new to you. try many years down the line and I do not think that you will feel the same way.

Unfortunately it isn't new to me, I am just new to claiming DLA, I have lived with my disabilities for over 15 years and depression for over 28 years. I lived with my rapists because I had no choice and like you I was angry, but like I said violence is not the answer, dealing with the problem you have is the key to peace of mind.

please report him to police, it might stop him from doing it again !
  • Whilst I realise it might not be easy and five years have passed talking to the police maybe part of the solution.

I believe any incidence of rape should be reported to the police. Better late than never. It could protect others too. You need specialist counselling for rape victims in my opinion. I find it especially despicable that a vulnerable (disabled) person has been attacked in this way. All the best to you.

    Hi there
Even if you dont want to make a formal complaint against this person, may be still talk to the police confidentially who would put you in touch with a specialist department to discuss your options. They need to know about this person, and the police can then in turn can refer you to other agencies to get some help in dealing with it.
