    I`ve voted too.

Interestingly I wonder how many people have been pushed into bankruptcy because their debt was rising by an unrealistic level due to interest & bank charges.

For example I had a small overdraft £500 well within its £850 limit when I went into my DMP. Never used it again & paid small sum under DMP....that debt 20 months later is at £1900dr !! ...& that is with a major High Street Bank who agreed to my DMP!!

I do wonder if there was more rights to the creditor then maybe bankruptcy could be avoided in some cases?

hi, Bats...all done..[wonder who the 'one' person was?]

I get the niggly feeling thelack of any 'protections' in law centre on major credit companies asking 'what's in it for us?'

I've alluded to this elsewhere, but....being aware that finance companies can gain significant tax advantages from debtors declaring Insolvency.....[so no, doubters, they don't scurry off with nowt...probably gain more than if the BR didn't delcare as such.]

But..can these companies also gain tax advantages from having debtors on DMP's?

[since I don't think this type of 'debt' can be 'written off?']
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

Errmm....i think your missing the point, this is not about BR, nor me, my demons re BR are dead and buried, its about more protectoin for those that choose to try to fight against going BR

no mate I didn't miss the point ,I should have had it more clear,it was just in your post on the DFW board you start by saying "I bailed and took the easy way out" ,as you say some already think BR is a soft option,so maybe you might of took the easy route but that implies you had a choice, some don't,I just felt you might have been falling into their theory that BR is a choice we make as an easy option.

Yes you did mis the point, i chose the wording very carefully, for where i was posting it, when you have been around here as long as i have you may understand ;)

Anyway, why are you intent on focusing on that, and missing the point, if DMP's where protected some more may have a choice, think about it, and try reading it again
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

you might think that just because you are making a statement on an issue then any side point doesn't need to be corrected or commented on,sorry but I comment on what as I see as important no matter the context, saying I did miss the point is really not correct when I clearly didn't and time on these boards doesn't make my points any less then yours, you seem to think that just because the DFW board might think a certain way about BR that you have to talk their language "I bailed and took the easy way out" to me is reinforcing the opinion they already may have,it seems you are intent to take my pointing out that people that go BR have not bailed and took the easy option, wrongly, even if you were only using them words to get on the right side of the DFW board, just because you make a good case for a reform doesn't mean you have to use words that put us in a bad light, your point could have been made just as strongly without talking their lanuage.

Really didn't mean to get into this, thought it was just a comment, didn't think you would have taken it the way you have, good luck with your poll.

just to clear things up a bit,I've talked to blind-as-a bat by PM and he has put me straight on his wording, and now see he was a sheep in wolf clothing so to speak,I was only ever sticking up for us BRs and can now see he was doing like wise but unlike me a bit more subtly:beer:
