OH submitted all documents for application for GYH over 2 months ago and still hasn't received a response on whether/how much he is entitled to. is this normal?
does it make a difference that we live in Northern Ireland, and he is based in england?

Dont know if its the same as when i was in Norhtern Ireland a few years ago but GYH was excluded NI.
Read JSP 752 chap5 sect 2 it gives the info .
It does say this which to me means they do it from the mainland to NI but not the other way round

hi, thanks i wasn't aware of that.
he was paid it last year before his deployment when he was based in portsmouth so i assumed he would also be entitled to it now although he is at collingwood soperhaps that makes a difference. i would have thought if he wasn't entitled they would have let him know."it's better than a poke in the eye with a pointy stick" - my dad, regularly throughout my childhood when I complained about something being too small/not perfect/not tasty/not what I wanted. he was right every time.0
