My trusty old lap top is telling me" Windows-Corrupt File. The file or directory C:WINDOWS\system32\ntdll is corrupt and unreadable. Please run Chkdisk utility." I would, if I knew what it meant. I have searched for the above in Windows help but not getting a clear match. Can someone help me please. Thank you.

if vista/windows7 then
Start Menu > All Programs > Accesories > Right click command prompt and select run as Administrator
then in the black screen that comes up type chkdsk c:/r
in XP
Start Menu > Run > cmd > ok >
then in the black screen that comes up type chkdsk c:/r
it will tell you that it cannot access the drive and do you wish to schedule the chkdsk for reboot, select yes then reboot and leave your computer to do the disk check0 -
