im drunk, im tempted, but even drunkeness still isn't enough to make me buy a fiat punto for 99p. if it was closer i might "buy it now" though.
    ...work permit granted!
  • I went to bed. I've bid (and won) bigger items than that whilst partaking lol.

It seems to have been removed.

No MOT, no TAX and that age - it wasnt worth much more than 99p. Probably cost a fortune to MOT the thing.

Heres one with MOT and TAX for £194

normally you can still trace closed auctions.

Probably a decent enough wee car, but i find it very hard to get excited about worn out fiats with no MOT.

i didnt see the auction but i have just 'sold' a P plate vectra with blown bottom end,no tax or test for £135
so never underestimate the value of scrapping cars

There was a TV show last year (might have been Fifth Gear) where the presenter bought a working Astra, then drove it straight to the scrapyard and sold it at a profit!

I dont underestimate the value of scrap cars, but assuming this one wasnt 'just down the road' from where any of us live, then as it had no tax or MOT it wasnt roadyworthy.

So, then you're into the realms of getting a trailer, driving to where it was, trailering it up, driving it back home, then trawling round the scrap yards trying to get a price for it.

All that and assuming (a) you've got a car with a towbar, (b) its capable of pulling a car and trailer, (c) you've got access to a car trailer and (d) you dont use up £100 of fuel going and getting it.
