I might be able to give you a few ideas.

Where is it and what’s the price history? ie: What did he pay for it and when?

Assuming there are no dodgy legals regarding ownership, building permissions etc, it will sell easily enough if the price is right.

Agreed. Who wants to live in a country with unemployment approaching 20%? If he wants to hold out for full asking, he will be waiting a while.

The infamous land grabs that went on and over development which happened in spain didnt help matters; depending on the area, to get a sale, your dad may need to drop the price as far as 60%. Thats the reality at the moment I am afraid.

It is an old adage but anything is only worth what someone else is prepared to give you for it.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

There are a number of resale portals out there which you can list on, some free, many paid. Best bet is to do some googling for the terms that you would use to describe your property/location and so on and see which sites rank for those terms and list there.

Not the most scientific of approaches granted, but at least you know your listing will get seen for the terms you want it to, on relevant sites that gain relevant traffic.
