Hello all.
Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere, or if this is the right place for it, but then again it is a warning to prevent you being ripped off so here goes.
Internet Fraud Advisory Service
This site contains many of the scams currently circulating around the net, particularly those on classified sites or site set up by individuals.
One of tthe things I'e found that gives scammers away is their tendancy to use the same addresses for sending goods/payment, or at least similar ones (e.g changing the block number). I came across it when I decided to google the address of a person who wanted me to send them a laptop to Italy. Personally I'm just going to sit tight and see what happens, rather than confronting the buyer with my suspicions.
Hope this helps. Remember, cheques can be withdrawn from your account even though you think the money has been paid, Western Union is dodgy as hell unless you're 100% sure about your buyer/seller, and courier collection should be treated as a definite No No.
Cheers and take care.
Hussein.

Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.
