First off if you are paying for Sky they will send out an installer and thay will pay for fixing, jsut say why you have moved, or you will cancell if they do not.

I did this after the builder broke the dish and the paid for a new dish and engineer. A month later I cancelled the sky and got freeview still use sky only for free channels!

    There are common mistakes:

    1. The cable from the reciver to the dish is NOT the same as TV COAX! But some satellite cable called CT100 from an electrical retailer wholesaler, but a 100m reel it is cheaper than 10m from B&Q!

    2. The cable is not passive. Unlike a tv arial a Sat cable carries power to the dish. Short the cable while it is connected to the reciver and you will blow a fuse in the reciver or damage it!

    3. Make sure you buy the f-connectors one for the disk and one for the recivers about 40p each. These just go on the end of the cable

    4. Make a clean cut and ensure the central core and the screening copper do not short out (see point 2)

    5. Make sure the the disk is mounted with a CLEAR LINE OF SIGHT (Trees grow leaves during the summer!) to 15 degreees east of south.

    6. Connect up the reciver to the TV and get a picture. Power off. Cut the cable to the right lenght can fix in place secure dish to wall, loosen adjustment screws to move dish. Use good quality insulation tape around the LNB connection to keep it water free. Power up align, when signal is good, tighten and fix.

    7. Don't reuse old sat cable or coax.

    8. Maplin and other sell sat. finder kits (compass and meter) around £10-£15 pounds

Sky is 28.2 Degrees East not 15 east.

It is the Sky sat your looking for I assume?
