It's hard. We conditioned to grab bargains, but in internet land, they're infinite. I think it appeals to our instinctive "hunter".
You just have to be strict with yourself. Do you need it? Will you use it? Can you borrow it?
Don't buy anything straight away. Will you still want it in a week?
You could set a monthly budget and stick to it. Get obsessed with saving to meet your target instead.
As someone else said, I think staying away from the bargain sites is a good idea. Out of sight, out of mind.0 -

PS You shouldn't really use debit card online. Credit cards have extra buyer protection and you really don't want your debit account details getting into the wrong hands.0 -

I went through a phase of that and it reached a point where I sold some things that in hindsight I'd rather have kept. It can all swing too far the other way if you get addicted to selling.
