Euro car park parking charge notice

I parked my courtesy car today in Bolton and have received a charge notice on the grounds that the ticket was upside down. Do you all agree that I should
1/ still ignore it
2tell the garage what has happened and ask that they will respond by saying that they do not know who was driving.

Doing nothing does not seem right but having read the forum postings the charge seems to be a scam

ignore it so long as you still have the ticket in your possession, I'd love to see them try and bring that to court.

No doubt it doesn't say anywhere that you are liable for a fine if your ticket is incorrectly oriented
