Sending a parcel to Portugal

Anybody know how much it costs to send a parcel weighing 2.7 kilos to Portugal?
Have looked on the Royal Mail website and it seems that anything over 2k cannot be sent by standard airmail or surface mail? Seems to be an arm and a leg to send tracked.
Stupid person that won the item didn't think to mail me first and ask how much it would cost to send to Portugal!
Any help would be much appreciated.

well TBH you should have blocked Europe if you werent willing to send
anyway there a courier thread in this section where you can get prices for couriers
for RM the only option is if it can be split

Normally I don't have a problem sending to Europe but never occurred to me that somebody would bid on a heavy item without asking first about the postage. Thanks for the info.

I have the same issue - just been asked the price of a 1600g item to Bulgaria - no problem I thought & popped to the Royal Mail website to work out the cost of a 'signed for' parcel, only to find they've changed their system & I can't work it out!

Not happy as it was fairly eay to work out last week:(

international signed for is airmail/surface mail price + £3.70
airsure is airmail price plus £4.50

so a 1.6KG packet is £9.29 plus £3.70 for IS

You really should put all your postal prices in your listings this avoids problems like this (and arguments over the cos) and means that the buyer can pay immediately on check out. Also not having your postal prices listed and asking people to contact you will put some buyers off as people are generally lazy.

You only need to put in 3 prices if using Royal mail non contract as they only have 3 prices Domestic. europe and worldwide.
