A while ago I went into my local branch and asked to switch from the prefered overdraft option to the prefered in credit option on my current account.

I didn't want to open a new account, nor did I want to change any credit facilities on my account such as overdraft etc.

They did a credit search on me! What for I dont know?? I didn't say they could, nor did they even tell me they would!

Also two statements later the account is still in the prefered overdraft option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I assume if I go in to ask them to change it again they will want to do another search?

I love the account with them, untill I want to change something and it all goes wrong!
