Natwest Account Turnover

I have a Natwest Currentplus account which is not my main account and although there is a balance there is not much turnover. I was also sent the Blue Visa Debit cards and would like the purple ones so I can use Pay@Pump etc.

Now my main account is with LTSB and I have 7k in it (For the 4%) could I transfer 1k (Or More) out every month to my Natwest account and transfer it right back again or would that not count ?. I also have no DD's set up on Natwest so I dont know if I should set one up ?.

I don't know if I could upgrade my card or qualify for future offers (CC etc) if I don't have the required turnover ?.

Many Thanks.

Could you not just use the Lloyds account/card for what you want?

Hi, Yes I could (Which is a good point) but I would like to have an account for emergencies, and I did not want to use LTSB too much as I want the balance to remain at 7k rather than fluctuate up and down throughout the month, hence a 2nd account for everything else would be quite good.

Why don't you open a Halifax Reward account and use that as your main one? You get a fill Visa Debit card and if you cycle £1000pm through it you get £5 back

If you simply transfer the money in and then out it will still show that the account is not really being used as a main account so I would think it would be highly unlikely that they will change the card by doing this.
I have not worked for NatWest Bank since February 2009
