depends on how close youn do it before your bankruptcy- if you do it too close you will get into trouble like i did but it seems if you leave it a few weks before bankruptcy you are generally ok- the bankruptcy people dont go picking over every little thing- theyd never get throgh their days work

if you have got the money for a cheap tv even then dont see what else you can do at this moment in time- but make the best of a bad situation

but then no one else on this forum would do this, they are too good for that

funny thing that I see your now doing what you accused everyone else of earlier in one of your posts...a tad judgemental eh?.....everybodys time & advice here suits you when you ask YET when you get an HONEST answer to a post you make that your not happy with we're all the scum of the earth eh? ;)

To give you an idea, i did not use credit six months or more before BR, and then it was for food and clothes, not TV,s or other luxary's

We are now faceing a second BR, no credit has been used for 26 months or more, because unlike you, i listened.

As for your comment they dont go through every little thing, yes they do, if it is justified, i get the feeling they will be looking very closely at your case, as they read these boards, how many people in the uk do you think took a loan out with the provi a week before taking a DRO?

Should not be hard ror them to figure out who you are.

you are going to need a big ladder to climb out of the hole you are digging;)
Thats it, i am done, Blind-as-a-Bat has left the forum, for good this time, there is no way I can recover this account, as the password was random, and not recorded, and the email used no longer exits, nor can be recovered to recover the account, goodbye all …………. :(

I know you shouldnt but has anyone bought things on credit knowing they will go bankrupt, I'm only asking as our television in our lounge has finally cracked up. It was 10 years old. If I got one on credit would I get a big slapped hand??

I dont want to commit fraud so just wondered what you guys thought?

Karen, I know how hard it must be for you at the moment, but you should avoid using any credit now you know you are insolvent, it's simply not worth it.

While waiting to see if you can get a TV from freecycle, ebay etc maybe you could download some of the 'on demand' channels for the kids to watch on the PC, you can watch tons of stuff online these days.

Good luck on the whole BR process, things will get better.
