Economy 7 Digital Meter
Hi , I have an economy 7 digital electric meter with a button to scroll through the readings , can someone clarify which is day and night reading as my meter only states Rate 1 and Rate 2 , I have no idea when submitting a reading to my supplier, if Rate 1 or Rate 2 is day or night. cheers.

Make a note of both the rate 1 and rate 2 readings, boil a kettle and then read them again. Which rate has increased? Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

on my LCD the number 1 is flashing, this indicates the current tariff that is being used @12pm.
No 1 = day
No 4 = nightKnow the difference between what you WANT and what you NEED. :T0 -
You'll also see the time (E7 rates kick in at certain times, so it's wise to check this is about right or adjust your timers accordingly), date and a 'total' which will add the night and day together
