Firefox Faulty Friday

Now I don't know if this is just coincidence but for the last two Friday nights my firefox has not worked properly but when I use it on the following Saturday morning it works as normal again.

The problem on Friday nights is that the bookmarks don't show, it won't shut down, it is very slow and it uses about 50% of my CPU capacity. I have had to use IE8 on Friday nights to get anything done.

Anybody experienced anything like this or any suggestions what is going on here?

That's very odd! Do you access certain sites on a Friday that could be causing problems?

For some reason I lost my bookmarks in Firefox, and had to restore them from backups, which are made automatically (see http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Lost+Bookmarks#Restoring_bookmark_backups).

Have you tried removing Firefox completely and re-installing?

The problem starts as soon as I start Firefox before I have even accessed any sites other my home page.

I was thinking I would have to remove and reinstall but it is working fine now.

I will see what happens next Friday. Looks like it is only me then with the Friday problem.

Strange... do you have any add-ons that might try to do something on a Friday (like update themselves). I wonder if a buggy add-on could be causing the problem... (bit of a stab in the dark, though!)

Funny stuff, I came on here to post a new thread stating that my page had gone odd today. I have lost the quick link to my hotmail and to
" pages most visited" They have just disappeared sometime today. I dont know what to do.
