British gas drain cover

Just wondering if anyone has British gas drain cover and used it?
I called them out for my drains, they did a CCTV survey and said the soil pipe near the house was cracked and the 6m drain under my yard has displaced joints and needs relined. Their cover has an upper limit of £1000, they (well dynorod) priced the job at £1500, howver say they will only cover £500 as displaced joints are 'wear and tear'.
Anyone else had experiences with them and managed to get a bit more out of them?
Cheers
