New Dell NET passport problem

Everythinmg works on my new DELL windows 7 pc except one item of Lexmark printer software. This worked on my old XP PC.

After installation it says 'Cannot open due to requiring MS.NET Framework version 2.0'?

Surely this is already on my W7 preinstalled? No other programs yet bring up this message or does itunes, camera software, etc not use MS NET stuff?

I tried to download as suggested by Lexmark but got error message not supported by W7 64 Bit.

Any ideas what this means, thanks very much.

- It probably means that your printer needs 64bit drivers, and there are none!
- Probably, no one responded to your help request because you did not give your printer model number
- Try putting your model number in here : http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=home&locale=en&userlocale=EN_US%20&segment=DOWNLOAD
- You may however find there are no 64bit drivers

It is X6650 all works fine just the lexmark scanning software says unable to operate without NET framework passport.

They have all drivers on there and they downloaded auto when connected. This is just a piece of software that came with printer that produces that error message whenever you try to open it.
