If you cut the tube in half, you can use the cut-off half as a sort of lid to keep the contents fresh, just squeeze one end so it goes inside the other end. Not sure if that makes sense - but I know what I mean0

I do the same as chipps. I always take decent scissors on holiday because you can get at least a full days worth of suncream out of the containers after you have shaken out as much as you can. With hand cream I got a weeks worth of cream out of a tube.I like to live in cloud cuckoo land :hello:0

 Yeah I'm a cotton bud girl. Really useful for getting the last of all sorts on things out of puts, tubes etc.

I did this with a tube of foundation, thought I'd reached the end...cut the tube open used a little plastic scoop thing (the kind you get in little tubs of ice cream) and scraped the inside, put what was there into an empty moisturiser tub. There was enough there that it lasted me over a month!0

When you think that a tube of anything is empty, make sure you squeeze as much as you can out of it, and then cut it open near the cap end. You will be surprised as to how much is still there. I use a denture fixative and when I though it was empty, I cut it open and I had at least another week's supply left. Thye same applies to toothpaste.0

Hi hansi,
A good reminder to us all. We have a great thread on this so I've added your post to it to keep all the suggestions together.

I see this is a earlier thread, merged, but had to reply, and hope it comes as a reminder to us all as well
