One winner will receive the garden entered by Bradstone to the Chelsea Flower Show 2010. The garden is 7x5 metres and shall be delivered and installed by Bradstone and their contractors to the winner’s UK home within 4 weeks of the close of the Chelsea Flower Show (CFS) 2010 on 29th May 2010.
To enter send your photo of your garden with 100 words on why you deserve a new garden labelled “Garden Competition” to either weekend@thetimes.co.uk or send in your picture by post to Weekend, The Times, Times House, 1 Pennington Street, London, E98 1TT before midnight on 17 April 2010. A winner will be selected by the judges (one from Bradstone, one from the Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scheme (CBMS) and one from The Times) based upon a creative and honest story that is the original work of the entrant. Entrants must give a brief outline of their garden conditions, including orientation, slopes and access (not included in the word count).
Shortlisted candidates will be notified within 28 days of the close of the competition. Ahead of the CFS a visit by Paul Hervey-Brookes is required to the shortlisted candidates’ gardens in order for a design consultation to take place.
Plants and materials will be delivered within seven days of the close of the CFS to the winner although installation may not take place immediately. The winner will be responsible for maintenance of the garden once installed with sufficient space for the garden.
