Moral Dilemma

Hi All
Bit of a lurker here I'm afraid, but would be interested in some feedback of my dilemma
Thanks to the CCCS and this board we've been working hard at reducing our debt and after a year and a half are well on our way (only 10 more years to go  ) However by being so good at being an MSE we are in the position to be able to increase our payments by approx. £150 per month :j
The dilema is should I put this against the debts withh CCCS (which are now the equivilent of interest free, bar the ones who dumped on interest when it went baps up  )
................or put it towards over paying the mortgage and hopefully paying it off early same time as the debt
My morals say no cos CCCS have been so good and if it was direct to the blood suckers there would be no decision to make :rotfl:
Over to you, thanks :T

are you under a duty to notify cccs/creditors of any change in circumstances including your ability to repay more of debt? if so it is not a moral obligation but arguably a legal one.0

I personally would put the money towards paying off your debt to clear it. It shows that you are really trying to clear your debts0

Working Girl advised a while ago that CCCS dont like extra ad hoc payments.
They prefer you to save it up, until you have enough to clear a debt in full, then send the payment to them.Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

Homer - think you hit the nail on the head, just didn't want to hear it
Lucky - the mortgage is my biggest debt
does that count
Spud - does that mean I could save additional (high interest account
) then pay extra at end of year
My thoughts are the way these people treated me (and reading here others too) they will get what they are due and not a penny more
..........and if coming on this board helps me make additional funds / savings then I should use that for my other debt ie the mortgage
Maybe I've just been on the Mortgage-Free Wannabe board to much :rotfl:0 -
Umm , then I would say, if you are sure that they wont find out *ssshush*- put it towards the mortgage!0
