Tesco Fitness/gym Equipment - While Stocks Last

This is mentioned randomly around the site, but thought I would put a concise listing. Tesco are selling off Eliptical trainers, (cross trainer), for £49.97, were £199, STeppers at £34, were £119, and ab trainers with computer and video included £6.97. You could buy the lot for under £100 and quit paying your gym membership. The quality is pretty good. Purley and New Malden branches still have them in stock.

Apparently they are selling cheap exercise bikes too, my branch didn't have any and I don't know the price. If anyone knows where they are in stock and how much, would appreciate the update!

The bikes were selling at £29.97, none left at Portsmouth or Bursledon Tescos - in fact the only things left at either are 'capsule gym balls' (seem to be a longer, flatter version of a normal gym ball).
  • Hi,

Hundreds of Exercise bikes at the Tesco Bar Hill Store, between Cambridge and Huntingdon.

Anybody know of an Eliptical Trainer in the Cambridgeshire/Norfolk/Suffolk/Herts/Lincs location?

    Thanks

They still had a few elliptical trainers 20 mins ago at Tesco Middlebrook but they were horribily plastick-y and noisy when we had a go! He weighs 80kg, so not huge but you could hear the machine struggling. I'd avoid!

Thanks for the advice, I only started to appreciate the difference in quality when I joined a gym. Generally the buying of the fitness equipment is the easy bit, if it ends up not being used there is no money saved!

What do you think of the strider? I've bought one, but another posting says it is rubbish. I guess I could assemble it carefully and keep the packaging and take it back if I don't like it. Would value your opinion. Thanks, Bev
