Alloys for a Beetle

Im 40 next week and my DH said he would buy me some shiny new alloys for my Beetle. Can anyone recommend a good place to look. I need two new tyres for it to so thought i might as well look for a complete set of wheels and alloys

ive seen a few beetles with the audi rs4 style wheels fitted, they look good on the beetle. im sure you could get a 17 or 18 inch wheel and tyre package. not sure how good the tyres would be though.
have a look on ebay for a good guide to styles and prices.

The sky's the limit I'm afraid, dependant on size and whether you want OEM, new or used, you could be looking at £400 - £1000 upwards, incl tyres.

Don't forget to check with your insurance co. Most will want extra premium for changing wheels - you are 'modifying' the car. I was quoted an additional £60 plus £15 admin fee by Direct Line when I enquired about changing to steel wheels with winter tyres from standard alloys. It was the wheels that changed things, not the tyres.

I have a set of 5 13" old beetle alloys. These are 5" wide and come with very good 185/70/13 tyres. The wheels are not in bad condition, but could do with a quick spray.
pcd is 4 x 130. try this.....................

Got myself some shiny new alloys today, only trouble is they are attached to a shiny new Beetle!!!! Oooops!!

Think I need to study the forums a bit more!
