Most players will already do this either out of the box or by entering a code using the remote.

If you've already got a player, there's half a chance it can already play them, or can be relatively easily hacked to do so.

Let us know the make and model...

Most DVD players can easily be made multi-region EXCEPT those from major manufacturers like Panasonic, Sony.

For these you need to buy or hire a special remote or be willing to follow a long series of instructions and use a programmable remote

In either case it's probably just as easy (and similar in cost) to head down to Asda and buy their cheapest DVD player.

For general reference googling "multiregion hack" followed by the model number will invariably tell you how to make a DVD player multi-region

Panasonics are notoriously hard to hack. Most cheapie dvd players are already multi region out the box. Try the Aldi / Lidl ones with USB - they are pretty good players IMO

    What about this :

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-DVP3310-05-DVD-Player/dp/B0024FA8UG/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

I could not find any code on the internet to make my Toshiba DVD player play DVDs from the states. So I bought an extra DVD player who could play US DVDs.
The model above is the newer model of the one I bought. And is as cheap as the one I bought . This model is simple to use, small sized and the picture is good. And easy to set up as multiregion.

You may find it a lot easi3er if you buy something like this
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-SD290EKB-DVD-Player/dp/B001U3Y8QS/ref=pd_cp_ce_0
which also has the advantage of playing divx dvd's so that you can have a lot of movies on just one disc.
The owners comments show how to make it multiregion.
I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
