Overdraft appearing on my Credit Report?
Comments

Am amazed that it shows up simply because I don't ever remember signing a "credit agreement" to have an Overdraft Facility, but it must have been in the original signup process for the bank account somewhere. Just don't remember them emphasising or even pointing that out.
And for the invasion of privacy - I meant that it would be one if your current account balance was held by the CRAs - don't see why that should be any of their business or why they would need to know that.
As for the mortgage issue, does it affect your credit rating in any way and affect what credit you could/would receive?Mine does on both Experian and Equifax. Both have overdraft limit and current balance. Never gone anywhere near the limit though, and all green [0]s
Whisp do you mean your Overdraft balance or ACTUAL bank balance here when you say this?0 -

Odd! My bank account (and overdraft) are not listed on either Experian or Equifax. Is that right?0

Wait a minute, i thought banks do not report accounts with o/d showing overdrawn ....UNLESS it is over the limit or has not put any credit into accounts for a certain number of months.
I have my Lloyds bank account on credit file showing all with zero balance despite the fact i am using the overdraft most of the time. I got a small o/d of £250.0 -

I also have a £4K facility on my Yorkshire Bank current account, yet that isn't reported at all...because I've had it a very long time (pre-1998 - DPA revamp - was the cut-off if the accounts are managed well and there's only positive data to report).I have my Lloyds bank account on credit file showing all with zero balance despite the fact i am using the overdraft most of the time.
