    Day 89: (Wednesday) :starmod:Night out:starmod:

I did find something to wear in the end that I was happy with:) I wore the royal blue dress that I wanted to take to the dressmaker. I figured other people wouldn't see the need for the alteration I want done. It's a one shoulder tiered style so being slightly loose no need for Spanx. The 4 inch heels were reasonably comfortable too although there wasn't much walking required because it was a concert.

Had a fab compliment on the shoes from the lady who did a guest spot on the show. She had been looking at them when I was standing on the stage after the show talking to the drummer (I'm not a groupie--I know loads of these people through the ex and the event management). She said she must get a pair of shoes that look like that on stage--they have pink heels so probably would look good on stage.

I loved the show and had some lovely conversations with people I haven't seen in a bit and I got a goodnight kiss from another band boy;) who walked me to my car after the show. Was fun but means absolutely nothing. Then the people who invited me dropped in for tea on the way home so it was a late night, kept me busy from 5pm until 2am!

I was moaning at the start of my diary about not having a social life but clearly I could have if I made the effort. There must have been 10-15 people last night who could go on the MrBig 250 list and all would be pretty close to the top too, all positive supportive people.

I do feel rather energised from meeting everybody and I would like another night like this in a while but I definitely won't be making it a regular thing. As I said earlier I don't like that a night out became the focus of my week and now that it's over I'm tired so today is kind of wasted too and the massive pile of clothes on the floor from a clothes crisis that lasted a few days :o will take me ages to tidy up.

It also cost me rather a lot even though I haven't added it up. Then the compliments about the shoes and clothes are exactly the sort of thing that would inspire me to find an even better outfit and better pair of shoes for the next night and obviously an attitude like that is not compatible with MSE or my finances so it's back to the Reebok easy-tones until Christmas.

It's payday today and I have to get my mother a birthday present.

I've just realised the kitchen is in a pretty messy state after last night too, I was using my fancy Nespresso machine to make cappuccinos. It's not something the new MSE me would buy but I always use it for visitors so I'm glad I have it.

It's going to take a lot of 15 minute slots to clear away the evidence of just one night out:o

@butafli Thanks for reading my diary and for the support.

@polesalot I hadn't realised you grip the pole with your skin, would have assumed that the La Senza look of pole dancers was just part of the image, but it's actually necessary. Bet you look fabulous in the hotpants at the classes, you run a lot so you must have the legs for them. What about shoes? I've seen magazine articles on pole dancing for fitness and the people in them were wearing shoes like the ones I wore last night but if I booked a class I'd probably turn up in the Reeboks:)

Catching up with the news and watching some of the videos of the Chilean miners being rescused after 70 days. Fascinating. I'm loving some of their stories too like the guy who's been writing a book down there and another who went on 10K runs through the mine passages. They're all going to be major celebrities soon.

I'm so glad you had a nice time - i kept wondering how you were getting on. Isn't it always the way, we dread a night out and it turns out to be fab! Maybe if you had been really looking forward to it you'd have been disappointed?

At least now you know you have a great headturning outfit if anything else crops up.

I don't wear pole shoes. I'm not that great in heels anyway but I feel more confident gripping with my bare feet.

Ahh thank you.:kisses3: I love my MSE friends.

Re the headturning outfit, chances are the next time I need an outfit it'll be for something serious like an interview or a funeral and last night's outfit will be completely inappropriate:rotfl:For someone who spends (or used to spend) a lot of time in shops, clothes and what to wear causes me a lot of stress.

Barefoot makes sense for poledancing. I imagine the heels could be really dangerous especially for beginners. I have to put a poledancing class on my to do list, I'm inspired from reading about the fun you have with it.

Do it! There must be somewhere near you that does it and I would imagine they would let you have a try out first to see if you liked it. My teacher does a 'taster' session first for a fiver.

I checked, it's €50 for 4 sessions. Everything costs more in Ireland:( but it's still on the list for later.

    Day 88: (Thursday)

Was too exhauseted to do anything after my night out. Watched tv and was in bed before 9.

Feeling really inspired by the lady who liked the shoes. I want to organize my car like hers. She had storage boxes in the boot, one was for shoes, one was for food, things like cans of coke, bottled water, chocolate bars because shops usually aren't open at the times she finishes work. Then there was a lovely overnight bag and a huge vanity case and a suit carrier for her dresses. Clearly this woman doesn't have any clutter! She looks lovely obviously but she said she doesn't like to spend too much on clothes. I must remember that bit in particular while I aspire to live like her.

    Day 87: (Friday)

Again not particularly interesting or life enhancing, I cleaned the house, did some food shopping, bought petrol and finished the evening here on MSE. Looked at Memorygirl's new website and noticed that she has a booking for Dublin on April 23rd next year. Would be great to go and meet her.

Day 86: (Saturday-was at my mothers)

    Had tea and cake
    Watched the X-Factor

    Day 85: (Sunday)

    5-5.30 packing/getting organised to leave
    5.30-6.30 was driving
    6.30-7.30 television (ok planned viewing)
7.30-8.30 Caught up with diaries on MSE
8.30-9.00 Made tea and replied to text messages

So pretty much the same as last weekend, I'm ok with that though. I like spending time at my mothers.

This 5-9 challenge appears to be have been a great idea for me. It's only been 2 weeks so far but It's really helping me to see how I'd like to be spending my time. I don't have the money just now to actually do all the things I'd like but it's becoming clearer in my head what I do want to be doing. Previously I just knew that I wanted to be doing something different but right now I could list specific things I want to do.:T

Enjoyed my lunchbreak today too. I had a gorgeous toffee apple halloween muffin at BB's-I can see myself having a few more of those over the next week or two.

    Day 84: (Monday)

Left the house again tonight:) I went to a Law of Attraction group at a yoga centre. It was from 7.30-10 and I found it when I was looking for yoga class timetables online. Cost €10.

It was rather interesting although some of it was a little bit too new-age for me. It started with a guided relaxation/visualisation cd for around 30 minutes. I found it really hard to relax but I think this was partly because I felt slightly uncomfortable in an unfamiliar group. (No need to feel like that of course, the people were lovely)

Then the leader passed around 2 sets of Angel cards and we had to choose a card from each set. Everyone had to read out their cards and suggest if the cards meant anything to them. That was where it got slightly embarassing:o

The cards I got read "children" and "All of your children both here and in heaven are happy and well cared for by both God and the angels". I don't have or want any children but I felt rather mortified because obvious interpretaions of those cards would be things like pregnancy, miscarriage, IVF so everyone there must have been thinking I was pregnant or trying to get pregnant:rotfl:Bit too much information on my first night!

I had to say I didn't know what the cards meant for me because I don't have children (true). Of course they probably didn't believe me and were all wondering about my tragic miscarriage/IVF story (which thankfully I don't have) or if I actually was pregnant. The group leader suggested it could be about your inner child (possibly-that was one of MrBig's challenges) and of course they were all super polite and tactful and didn't dare mention the children thing in case I was having such issues. Then thankfully the conversation moved on to the next person.:)

The final set of cards were Law of Attraction cards (I'd like a pack of those). My card said "the creative process is working for you". Hopefully refers to all the new found energy from the Memorygirl Matrix/Mr Big challenges and the effort I'm making to do some different things with my evenings.

A million other things and authors got mentioned which I have very limited or no knowledge of and which I'm not hugely interested in but here are the ones I can remember:
    • Abraham-Hicks
    • Eckhart Tolle
    • Deepak Chopra
    • Uri Geller
    • 22 emotions
    • channeling
    • automatic writing
    • shamanism
    • Lorna Byrne angel books
    • 2012
    • enlightenment
    • Buddha
    • Amma the hugging nun
    • The Tibetan book of the dead
Some of it was really complicated too especially the 2012 thing but I might do a few Google searches later.

So I got out of the house and learned a few new things. Would I go back? Yes but not every week, some of the people there appear to live their lives by these theories. In particular I felt slightly sorry for the guy who can't wait for 2012:D I will go a few more times before Christmas but I think that in 3-4 sesions I would gain all the benefit I can from it.

Sounds like you had an interesting night :D

I did have something similar years ago (not the well looked after or in a group) and was told that a child card can mean a project that you are bringing into fruition - "the birth of" type thing - which would tie in with the creative processes.

Here it is sunny so hope you have a great Tuesday.
