I slept really well after that powerplate class last night but
because I'd love to make it a regular thing but I can't afford it. Usually I find a way of paying for the things I want to do so I'm not completely ruling it out but I definitely can't go back as soon as I'd like. It would be good if I could get my mystery shopping money paying for my exercise plans, that's a realistic possibility but right now I don't even have any jobs booked and income from mystery shopping is never guaranteed.
Getting jealous that I don't have a blog or business to set as my homepage:D half of the people I chat to here have lovely websites of their own:TTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -

- 2 loads of washing

Had a horrible evening doing 2 mystery shopping reports. I was so fustrated with them I was almost in tears. They were way too long for the money involved. I did them in 15 minute slots broken up with cups of tea, MSE, phone calls. This was followed by a takeaway pizza and tiramisau from a lovely local pizza place while watching Una from the Saturdays on the Late Late Show.
This is the best example so far of what I don't want to be doing in the evenings. I'm ok with mystery shopping reports if the money is a reasonable return on my time but these ones just caused stress. Then I got a take-away to cheer myself up and watched Z list celebs on television.
Day 93: (Saturday-was at my mothers)
Had tea and cake
Watched the X-Factor
Day 92: (Sunday)
5-5.30 packing/getting organised to leave
5.30-6.30 was driving
6.30-7.30 television (ok planned viewing)
7.30-8.30 Caught up with diaries on MSE
8.30-9.00 Tea and maltesers
:wall:This challenge clearly isn't going great. Best thing for now is that it's making me very aware of how my time is being spent.Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
hey mags, I just wanted to say thank you so very much for your inspiring post on my diary, you've really made a difference to my day not to mention my mood.
You are an :A.
After I have finished my decluttering I will settle down with a cuppa and read your diary, looks like a good read
Much love

I've just done a Crowdology survey for £1.52, if only they could send me daily surveys.
Just got an acceptance email from another mystery shopping company--Assosia. It's literally months ago since I applied, but another little step towards the possibility of a proper part-time income from mystery shopping in 2011. I need new companies because I don't particularly like some of the ones I've worked for so far!Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Day 91: (Monday)
- Did another Crowdology survey for another £1.52:T
- Watched some planned television (a music show and the Irish version of the Apprentice)
- Had a clothes crisis:(
I even bought shoes for this--the universe was helping me along here because I found the perfect pair in the final clearance at M+S on Saturday morning for €9, original price €64:D
So it shouldn't be too hard, the shoes, black opaque tights and black dress. Normal people have a little black dress, I have literally about 20 black dresses but still couldn't find something that felt right to wear. Problem seems to be that a lot of the dresses are old and below knee length but mini is more fashionable these days, so a lot of them seem better suited to work than a night out.
The mini one I do have that I thought would be perfect feels a bit tight and makes my bum look big. Or maybe it doesn't but I'm not used to wearing fitted dresses. I don't own Spanx and can't afford to buy any within the next 2 days.
Then the royal blue dress doesn't match the shoes. The other royal blue dress needs a slight alteration at the dressmakers before I can wear it.
The feeling fat in fitted dresses reminds me that I can't afford the powerplate gym I'm so desperate to sign up for. Then I'm going to have to drive for an hour to get there and I'm worried about whatever dress I do end up in getting wrinkled en route.
I know I sound like an absolute headcase:oTotal debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
I'm completely with you on this one Mags. I don't normally go out much but since I started seeing someone it has really brought it home that I don't actually have that much going out clothes. Most of the time when I go out it's for pole nights but I can hardly wear hotpants every time I go out....;)
I'm now faced with a night out on Saturday (which is lovely) but shock horror I think I'm going to have to wear what I wore out on Friday just gone
Regarding your 'tight' dress - can you not just avoid eating carbs until after tomorrow night? That will shrink you down a bit and is far cheaper than buying a pair of Spanxalthough I bet it is only you who thinks your bum is big. In my experience most men like a bit of a bum on a woman
It's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Day 90: (Tuesday)
I had an appointment for a haircut at 5, then it took me a while to get home after and then I spent ages doing beauty treatments for tomorrow night.
This night out business is making me feel so unsettled. I hate that it has become the focus of my week and I hate that something as simple as a night out is causing me such stress.
I haven't decided what to wear yet. The tight dress has a kind of rock chic look which I like but I might have to choose something a bit more classic. Good idea about not eating carbs @polesalot except I've been comfort eating all morning so that won't work today.
I'm insanely jealous that you can wear hotpants:DIs that the normal "uniform" for pole classes? Does anybody wear normal gym gear? I'd like to try a pole class sometime:)Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000 -
Basically you need to wear as little as possible so you can grip with your skin. Most people at my classes wear hotpants or short shorts. Anything else is too slidey :rotfl:I think I might have given you the wrong idea when I said i went out in hotpants, I meant just out to my pole class, not out 'out' hehe I wish I was that brave :rotfl:
Try to relax about tonight. You sound like you are very stylish and knowledgable about fashion so I'm sure you'll look great. Have a lovely timeIt's not how far you fall - it's how high you bounce back.... :jHappiness is not a destination - it's a journey0 -
Found your diary today, read it all, and wanted to say hi
Amazed by all your freebies, bargains and cosmetics. I am a such a "natural" girl but I think that might be spending too many years in the whole *don't focus on what you don't want because you'll get it* vibe - isn't knowledge wonderful
I am sure you will look great tonight so enjoy and remember all those lovely comments from the men with guns
