RANT !!! Good friend not coming to wedding!

  • I'm 4th of June!

My first thought was maybe she wasn't going to surprise you on the day but that wouldn't work really and is a bit inconsiderate!

I think you should talk to her and ask what she is doing that weekend. If she is a close friend she should know that you would be hurt by her not being there so she should offer a valid excuse.

H2B's oldest/closest friend has just gone travelling and it is unlikely that he will be coming to our wedding which i think he is quietly hurt by.

If you talk about it you should hopefully sort things out. Like everyone has said, it is your day and one person should make much difference.
  • I have the problem that my best friend is going travelling in november for a year and we are planning to get married June (ish) time, and i have no idea how to tell her!!

You need to ring her and check because if she's saying one thing and now saying another i would want to know whats going on?!
  • Can I just throw something in here and sorry if it upsets anyone but....I appreciate its your big day and stuff but people have other things going on in their lives that can't be accounted for.

Trust me, there is nothing more mortifying than telling friends you can't afford to go to their wedding. My friend is getting married in August (last minute) and I can't afford it. Its the other end of the country so it would mean £70 in train fare, a hotel, plus putting my dogs in kennels for the night. I was so mortifyed telling her that, but it was better than lying to her x

I'm so mad not really wedding related but about 3 weeks ago I said to sil2b about having a small get together for h2b's birthday which is on friday she said she would tell her mum about it to make sure she's free. I've just txt her because I haven't heard anything and she's said that she's going to Yorkshire on saturday afternoon so can't make it as we were planning it for saturday. That nice that going out on a day trip is more important than your own sons birthday.

    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
