Petrol Prices

Comments

  • I know that there could be many reasons why the fuel prices are as they are. It is still an outrage though.

I am seriously thinking about going to a car with alternative fuel (maybe even electric) just worried about up-front costs and reliability. I wonder if they become as commoditised as PCs and we need to update every year.

Also, I hope Microsoft don't write the engine management system, we will have to keep downloading patches

Theres an e-mail going about saying ban B.P and Shell then these two will have to drop the price and still keep the ban on until it gets to a pound a litre not just a couple of pence off

    Again?
That email was first sent by smoke signals between caves, before the car was even invented ;)

The email actually says Esso and BP, not Shell. If yours says differently then obviously someone has tamprered with the email.

i dont care what effects the price of oil, i do understand the economics behind the demand and supply and the exchange rate no longer being supported and being let to free market to decide its value and all.....

but its 117.9 where i live and it was 113.9 2 days ago, and im a student and its hurting me more and more as the days go, especially as i drive a 330! it hurts even more. I miss the days it was like 1.00, it was like 80 pence when i first started driving, its nearly been 3 years since i have owned a car and its gone up 37.9 pence. The inflation rate on oil is incredible and the proposed tax is going to hit it soon, thank god its only 1 pence and not 3

I cannot afford to drive if this carrys on like this!

  • Twice? Or just once, but shouty?
  • I'm thinking of getting my subaru impreza 2.5 wrx turbo converted to LPG. Has anyone got any experience of LPG converted performance cars. the fuel is much cheaper, about half the price of petrol.
