Unfortunately my pitch fibre pipes arent covered on my house insurance. Does anyone know the cheapest company to go with who will line them? I am pretty skint at the mo! So far, quotes are coming in at around £100 per metre plus vat.
Thanks!

Why do you want to line them. What is the problem with the drains.I can afford anything that I want.

They were built in the 60's, and have changed shape over the years until they dont work anymore.0

In that case I do not see how lining them is going to achieve anything. If they have deformed, which is a common problem with pitch fibre, how is putting a lining inside going to return them to the original circular shape. It seems to me that all that will be achieved will be to end up with a pipe of the same distorted shape with a lining inside it. Which is not what you want. Check again with the people supplying the quotes that you are both talking about the same thing. The money would be better spent on replacing the pipes with modern plastic ones.I can afford anything that I want.

Standard treatment for pitch fibre pipes is to line them and reshape. They put a substance down that lines and re-rounds the pipe.:)0

Oh right, I didn't know that. I have not been involved with pitch fibre since 1967. The problem had not become a problem at that time. (If you see what I mean) Pitch fibre was pretty new then.I can afford anything that I want.
