Leaving neg but have no need to contact seller

I bought a dress off eBay and have a few problems with it. First off, it was described as New Look- the tag in fact proves it to be AX Paris. Whilst this brand is stocked by New Look I bought it specifically because I know my New Look size- I've only had one dress from AX Paris before and it was too tight in my usual size. It did fit fine luckily, but it is also damaged. There's a biggish split in the fabric, and the underneath slip is laddered with some of the hem missing. It also came smelling strongly of perfume. The seller modelled in photos so maybe that's where the smell and damage came from, but it seems more likely she's worn it a few times with the tag tucked in and tried to flog it on eBay later.
I won the dress for £6 (about £10 with postage) and should be able to fix it, so I don't want to return it and I'm not bothered about getting some of that money back as it was so low in the first place. I do however, think the seller deserves a neg for failing to mention the damage and describing it as new, but eBay asks me to resolve the problem by contacting the seller. What should I do? Other than apologise there's nothing I expect of her, but I don't think she should get a positive as I found her auction misleading, and would have been really peeved if I'd bid a lot.
Cheers.

To be fair you should give her the opportunity to resolve the issue before leaving a neg.
Just because you dont want to resolve this i would still put it to the seller what the problems are and see what the response is. If they respond offering a refund or partial refund i would take this into account when leaving feedback."The darkness has no answers"0 -
Thanks for replying, I'll ask her about it. if she offers a part refund, do I then give her a positive and don't mention the issue? Have never left a neg/neutral before and have no idea what I should put. It doesn't help that eBay doesn't give you a decent amount of space to leave feedback!0

I would be inclined to see what she says first (perhaps up to 2 messages about 3 days apart ?):
If she offers a full refund perhaps leave a positive or neutral, mention this and that you were disappointed with item.
If she offers a part refund leave a neutral.
Anything less then leave a negative.
Also if you get a chance mark her low on the 'item as described' part!
Having only left positives too am not sure how, but think you just select neg or neutral and type!
Good luck and sorry you have had a bad experience!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

You should give the seller a chance to respond. Just state the problesms. (Don't mention FB) and see what the response is. You may be surprised0

Yes defo contact her first as a seller i'd be horrified to get a neg without a chance to put things right. She might be really nice and genuine and just didn't notice the damage. She may be an idiot too but you wont find out unless you try, wait and see before leaving fb0
