My local MP is Tommy McAvoy who "employs" half his family. I've never seen him do anything worthwhile around the area so no, he doesn't deserver to be re-elected.
That said, living where I do, Labour could probably stick up a monkey for election and they'd get in...0 -
My mp is David Heathcote Amory who has a fantastic garden, well tended with lots of well rotted horse manure. He has appologised for being a naughty boy and would like his constituents to vote him back in.
It is really close between Conservative and Lib Dems here and if the 600 or so people who voted Labour in the last election had voted Lib Dem Mr HA would have had to pay for his own compost. There were queues to vote all day at our local polling station then so it will be really interesting to see what happens this time."A thousand candles can be lit from a single candle without shortening the life of that candle."
I still am Puddleglum - phew!0 -
Mines got the public to pay for tax advice. (And I should say repaid the amount). Apart from that keeps his head down, very rarely, if ever has voted against the party line. Seems to be a yes man. He's in a very safe Labour seat, so I don't see him out of a job in May.
A good job? Don't really know to be honest. We've got so many up here, Councillors, MSPs MEPs and an MP. I don't know what it is he's done for the area.Just because I disagree with you, doesn't mean I hate you. We need to understand this as a Society

Have to say, I was a little disgusted Heathcote Amory didn't bow out gracefully and let someone ''clean'' stand.0

An MP who resigns rather than loses his seat or stands down at the election, forfeits a nice 1 year pay off.US housing: it's not a bubble

that's ok.....he could have just spent his year gardening. Anyone who resigns loses their income...but we used to have some sense of honour.
