Boiler Scrappage scheme. .. £400 off a boiler

According to the Energy Saving trust website all the vouchers available for this scheme have been allocated and the scheme is therefore closed as of 14.00 hrs today 26 March 2010.

Ollocks. I appointed an installer on Thursday, and just now went onto the website to fill in my scrappage application, only to find the scheme closed. Very poor timing indeed.

the budget was a bit of a let down, it would have been better if they had extended the scrappage scheme .

Worked at treat for me, got in early, so replaced my old glowworm.

New vaillant ecotec 831, Vaillant wireless controls,magnaclean, scale reducer,powerflush, gas safe reg, -£400 = £250 installed.:T

£650 for a Vaillant 831 and the rest installed? thats not even enough to buy the boiler here let alone install

I think the clue is in the name of the poster.

Fitted it themselves & paid for the fittings/pipework etc....

Just sold my old boiler and cylinder for £130, so total cost for new boiler is a shocking £120:D
