New Heating & Rads Quote - Surrey

Hi, new to the site - but have tried to search for similar quote without success.

We have had a quote for £12.5k to
  • remove existing radiators, tank and boiler
  • strip out existing (lead) pipework
  • supply & fit 16 connector radiators with lock shield valves
  • fit new 210l unvented hot water tank upstairs with central heater boiler
  • run new gas supply to boiler position
  • fit flue outlet through roof with weather slate
  • run hot and cold supply from hot water tank
  • leave ball fixed under floors
  • fit new heating system controls.
I appreciate the unvented (MegaFlow) system is going to be the most expensive option, but for a 4 bed (possible 3 bathroom longer term) house I am happy to make the longer term investment. I also appreciate it is difficult to measure cost of "making good" on the work as there will be a fair degree of channeling into walls etc for pipe concealing. However, does this price seem excessive or fair for the work listed above?

We have really struggled to find someone who can recommend a suitable engineer as they either don't specialise in this type of system or don't service the area we live in (Surrey, nr Junction 8 M25). Any recommendations much appreciated.

    Hi

Is that to supply the boiler and unvented as well?
If so then not unreasonable for your location.
Is there VAT on that ?
How much pipework do you need to bury?
    Any more quotes coming in?

Is there VAT on that ? That's excluding VAT.
How much pipework do you need to bury? A fair amount - 16 radiators, and currently all exposed pipes, but don't necessarily need/want to bury all
Any more quotes coming in? Yes, hopefully have 2 more lined up to quote

    Hi

Maybe one will not be VAT registered. That'll save a bit.
