Borderway Car Finance

Took out finance on a car with the above for approx 5k in 2003. Paid it off (cant remember if it was paid off gradually or cleared it with a subsequent bank loan)however I cant remembr if I was paying PPI - from what i have read on here, its pretty rare to get car finance without PPI - So, my question is;
How do I check whether I was paying PPI on this finance now the loan is paid off in full

If I DID have PPI can I reclaim it back

Hi there

You could give them a quick ring just to ask them if they still have any details of you.
Do you have the account number?
If so you can still write to reclaim, they should soon send out a letter.

If you any old statements the account number should be shown next to the repayments, its a start anyway.;)

Sorry forgot to add, yes you can still try to reclaim on the PPI with the reasons you have, it makes no difference if the account is still running or settled.;)

hi Di an thanks for your response (you always so quickto reply lol)no, idont have any paper work as i binned it onceit was all done and dusted. All i have is my bank statements and there is no reference number on it..I shall give them a bell..failing that, is there any other way? Im pretty sure I was paying some form of Insurance..

Well hopefully they will still have your details, but failing that another way maybe to request a credit report, from maybe Experian or Equifax, you can google them in to find these and the report costs £2, they may or may not still hold your details of any finance you have taken out gone past the 6 years, fingers crossed.;)
