Recently while trying to attach a file from desktop to gmail, the file location comes up on the email as follows -
C:\fakepath\P1050132.bmp
I use windows XP media edition.
This does not happen on Firefox, only with IE.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Fortyfoot

I think it's supposed to be a security feature, and not something you would normally see.
If it's not affecting anything I wouldn't worry about it.
A quote that describes what is happening:Thanks to new security features in IE 8 the file upload will not report the real file path to the control unless you add the page to the trusted site collection of Internet Explorer. Instead the “c:\fakepath” is shown to the JavaScript that handles the file upload information.0 -
Thanks bbuckle, I will just stop using IE.
