£20 OP from £2 coins made
Drip, drip, drip feeding away at the figure!
ANother FLW on ebay this weekend, so fingers crossed I can make £20 or so from there (just taken a batch of photos of items ready for listing tomorrow!) - that'll be in March's OP figures - along with any money I make from the NCT nearly new sale (hopefully somewhere in the region of £30 (the kids get the money from selling toys, so I only get clothes and equipment money - and we no longer have equipment and I don;t sell that many clothes - DD is too big (only up to age 11) and it gets passed down and down where the 3 boys are concerned!)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
1st of the month and another mtge payment :-D Have added another £100 OP for this month to our regular OP because it means our balance is just under 72k and the balance on sub acct 02 is sub £10k

ANother £20 OP today from ebay (money not received yet, but I'm paying it in good faith!) Lots of stuff still unsold, so shall relist it next FLW, along with some stuff which is still unlisted
NCT NNS on Saturday - I hvae about 150 items labelled up - I want as much to sell as possible, so have priced some low-ish, just to try and get rid of it (we never have enough room with 4 kids, so any space clearing is always welcome! I should, therefore, ebay more, but I find ebay quite soul-destroying....)
On a not-really money saving front we've just bought a tent - mahoooosive - 5m x 8m! We now need to buy a trailer..... still, the tent, trailer, tow bar and other camping equip *should* come in around £1500 - somewhat cheaper than the £18K caravans DH was lusting over at the weekend!!
'Twas my birthday yesterday. Lots of lovely pressies - chocs, flowers, wine, a purple handbag, smellies (yummy ones), some expensive stoneware bakeware, Denby cookware, silicone utensils, candles, expensive face cream, a Xmas ornament, fluffy socks - all things I love
Was also my uncle's birthday - sadly he had a motorbike accident (not his fault) and ended up in hospitalHopefully he's not too bad. His lovely Ducati had it though. Bummer of a 50th birthday

OOh - went to the accountant's yesterday too - because DH is on a salaried contract for the next year as opposed to a day rate we are transferring all the co shares to me (woo hoo!) and I get all teh dividends and a salary payment for the next year - at which point we'll re-visit it. I feel a mortgage OP coming on from a diividend once I know how much corporation tax is.....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200

OOh - NCT nearly new sale yesterday - I took heaps of stuff, came home with not much - some has been sorted for charity shop, some for cash for clothes, some for the nct next time. I only spent £2.50 (on a wii wheel) and £1 on cake for DD & I. DS1 spent some money (on books on pokemon stuff). The kids sold some old toys and made a few £s and I sold heaps of clothes - and think (after commission) I've cleared about £70 - yippee!! I won;t know the exact amount until tomorrow, but it's all going as an OP when I know
Result = less clutter in house and loft and more money for the mortgage
Also means that the play room can stop looking like a bombsite (it's had all the nct stuff in for the past 5-6 weeks) - Spring is in the air and I'm looking to clean and sort out! I've been in the garden briefly this morning, just clearing away some old pots and fallen leaves. Lots to do out there - I want to plant things, but it's still far too early!I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
NCT NNS Made £100.90 after commission, costs and paying the children their money from toy sales - great stuff!! Just made an OP of £150 (I think I've got a little slack in the current ac, so may as well pay it to the mtge!)
Feels like I'm going soo slowly right now. I know I'm not in reality, but knocking a month off seems to take so long because my s/sht already takes into account the standard extra OPs we make, so to knock another month off means an extra £1300 in OPs - and that's hard work to achieve!!
Having paid teh ebay money in good faith as an OP last week, I still have the majority outstandingONly £14, but I have opened an unpaid case on ebay with it. Ho hum..

Hope you can get flooring sorted. Patch up jobs aren't acceptable from professionals. I know what you mean about ebay, I mostly use local selling pages on fb now.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Flooring people haven't responded to our last letter, nor have they paid in the cheque we sent them (only £48) to finish paying for the upstairs flooring (nice job - unfinished - but nice job - we got someone else in to fix skirting boards and finish it off) I want to send a letter 9recorded delivery) saying something like 'if we don;t hear from you within 2 weeks of this letter we will take it that you are in agreement with our recommendation that we both walk away from this agreement' so that we can move on. DH wants to just get someone in and wait and see if they come after us through small claims court...! Whatever, we need to get it sorted and new flooring - we have no skirting downstairs and no edgings between hall flooring and kitchen and a huge gap under the edging with the lounge. It's messy and not nice.Brodiebobs wrote: »Ebays been a nightmare for me too recently, things dont seem to be going for much at all not like in the good old days a few years back!! I haven't used fb to sell yet - a lot of my friends do, though. I do well at nct sales with the kids stuff and get rid of little bits quite often at WI (am taking a box of books, unwanted xmas pressies and some necklaces with me there tonight) Have used free ads in local paper and on netmums quite often, too. The stuff I was selling on ebay is quite specialist, so not sure if it would go on fb - but worth keeping in mind to use alongside the local paper and netmums for other more 'normal' stuff;)
