SO half term flew by! Mainly spent it in the garden - lots achieved but still some more to do - however, you can see the results of my labour now
Need the garden waste bin collected (Thurs this week) before I can do some more bits! The fencer for the long side is due sometime this month - not entirely sure when, as I've not arranged it and I suspect that the hail/ heavy rain we had in May may have put him behind a little. Also the behind neighbour owes us £360 for his share of that fencing - will need to catch up with him at some point for that! (seeing as our share of the long side is around £750.....!)
We have been picking lots of strawberries from the garden for about a week now - between 500-750gm per dayA lot are HUGE! - well worth the time that DS1 and I spent digging out and replanting the bed last year
And some of the cherries are just beginning to pinken up, too
Not much else happening here - am working 4 days this week and 4 days nextHave made a batch of soft, sweet buns for icing today / turning into split buns with cream and jam (yum!) DD has just taken one up to her room covered in pink, glittery icing

Am impressed that you have ripe strawberries already, mine are still developing from the flowers and a few are there but very green. Shows how far behind in the garden we are up here after all that cold weather a few weeks back.6

edible pink glitter! Fantastic
The strawberries thing is actually impressive too, and it comes from your own work. Soft sweet buns sound pretty good too

Currently
picking between 500-750gm per day! They are actually later than usual by 7-10 days according to my recent fb00k memories from the past few years 😄
Iced buns were yum - plenty left for today and tomorrow😋 x

Slightly bored of strawberries now! 🍓😂
Glorious weather here today. Lovely after quite a busy week. Am sanding down the smaller garden table (still seats 6, so not that small) and is is so warm out there! Took a break to do some digging/ weeding after I'd washed the table off of all the dirt/ sading dust so I can tell where to concentrate on next now that it's dried off. Also nipped to local gelato farm 🍦with DH and Dd - honeycomb and sea salt caramel for me - yum 😋. Just having a cup of tea before getting back to the sanding - very dirty and sweaty work but I'm still wearing my gym kit from this morning's gym visit - saving on laundry!😁
Tomorrow is meant to be even warmer- so a bbq for dinner it will be:) I think we even have everything in we need (I'll make fresh rolls in the morning) so don't even have to face the horrors of a smkt on a sunny weekend - result! We use the 2nd table to put all the food on and sit at the bigger one - it's all a bit crazily crowded otherwise.
Not much happening on the money front - it's that quiet mid month time. Prolific have had lots of surveys but mainly laptop ones, so I've not been doing them as I've not been near my laptop. I did list 4 or 5 things on flebay yesterday, so maybe a couple might sell 🤞🤞 Need DH to dig out the couple of caravan awnings from the garage loft and stick those on fb00k too - we have no need of them and they are taking up space. I think we were given both of them, too, so will happily sell them for bargain prices just to get rid (I find selling things cheap often works better than giving things of value away for some strange reason! 🤔
Time to get back out in the sun 🌞🌞 and get back to the table.....I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £209 -
