Greent, I was dizzy just reading about your voucher gymnastics! Well done for being super organised!

And thank you for reminding me inadvertently that I have a £4 off voucher with Mr. Sane. Will earn it by stocking up on dogfood!

Also, you’re making saving for Florida Fund sound easy!

She's better in some ways than she was, not in others. Thanks ofr asking, apple :) x The chest infection which they thought would be fatal has cleared up (but obv not the mass in her chest - was meant to have a scan on it yesterday but was cancelled last minute and rearranged to next week) However, she has persistent UTIs and the GP is reluctant to carry on prescribing antib-s. I understand the logic in general, but in an elderly, poorly person...? - I'd rather she had them - she's in pain with the UTIs and has continence issues anyway, even when free of them (so doesn't drink enough as a result) Her dementia is progressing too.

On a brighter note, I have had the second radiator refitted in my kitchen - properly this time (last person used incorrect fittings - dangerous when talking a full height, double thickness vertical radiator...) and the boiler serviced :) Kitchen is now toasty warm (second rad is thinner and only a single and just not powerful enough by itself) Also had the dining room ceiling painted (yeay! - finally the stain from a leak upstairs 3 years ago has gone! :rotfl:) and the hall/ stairs/ 2 landings walls and ceilings re-painted - the same colour as it was, but it looks all fresh and clean :j

Christmas - getting there. Still have best friend and her husband to buy for (absolutely no idea...… :(), finish off my aunt's, get another aunt something small (usually something foody locally made), finish my mum's (about half done) and get OH something from the kids.... Oooh - and my cousin's 2 boys (same ages as my youngest 2 and they get along great) It's also DD's 21st in Dec (have bought tickets to see Cursed Child for next April) and DS2's 13th in early Jan.... And I need to sort a cake for DD's bday… And make a batch of strawberry and prosecco jam to use up all the strawberries in the freezer and put in people's Xmas presents :)

I've had lots of deliveries this week for Xmas/ bdays - am planning on sorting it all out when the smalls are at school tomorrow and before OH gets back tomorrow evening. May even start wrapping (I love wrapping presents :xmassmile:rudolf:)

Money news - not much to report - have done over 7.5K OPs to BTL this year and will get to 8k in Dec. Florida Fund is at the dizzy heights of just over £200 :rotfl::rotfl: Have spent on all 4 of my CCs and have money due from present buying for my mum and am getting confused!!:p Will pay the money received back from my mum straight off the CCs so then I'll have a better idea of where I am (spent on all of them as had points offers on some, OH had the details of one of them and used it to buy DD's theatre tickets and 1 is linked to my Amaz0n account....)

Ooh - and am still tracking my food - haven't weighed myself yet but have gone down 1.5 belt notches (am saying 1.5 because after dinner (just had a carb heavy one) it's down 1 but before then it's down 2 notches) So some of the blubber is melting :T:j

UTIs - in fact, any infectin - and dehydration can make dementia worse, so I hope the gp keeps prescribing.

Thanks, apple - they are on the case. She is beginning, sadly, to be rather aggressive quite often with it :(

So my Wm was found to be not working on Mon morning (last used on the Sat) - booked a repair chap for today. Last night I went to put the DW on (last used on Sunday when it had done an ineffective clean) and that was also not working. Both appliances were not filling with water. Phoned repair shop up this morning and advised about DW. Chap came out and eventually got WM running but had to take DW away in his van :(:( £75 for WM and I get to find out about DW Fri/ mon - but he thinks it might be terminal :(

BTL heating also has an issue - agents are dealing with the issue, so am expecting a bill for that (but it is very much needed at this time of year and tenant has a LO) I will still push to make £8k by end of Dec though :)

OH was informed yesterday that his contract is definitely coming to an end this month - they want someone in Glasgow - a journey too far!!! He had an I/view today for a contract by Heathrow (meh) and then later was also told about one on the very edge of our county (much better!) Something will turn up :)

DD is 21 next week - she doesn't finish uni until a few days later but has no lectures etc on the day of her bday so we are off to take her to lunch :)

Xmas is getting there - no real decs as yet (just outside lights and we are using Xmas teatowels/ glasses/ mugs/ handsoap/ kitchen towel :D) - that will be once the students are home for the holidays :) Most presents are done - but it's always that last bit which is super tricky :(

Ooh - almost forgot - I also got a bill for £1600+ which I need to repay to Tax Credits in the post today - ho ho ho.....

Still, on the upside, I have fully working heating and newly decorated hall/ landing/ stairs (although have to clean off all the paint which has gone where it shouldn't have - wasn't impressed by the decorators we had in :()

Off to get DS2 from after school activity - back in about 90 mins or more .... pesky peak time traffic + wind/ rain and general heading-towards-Xmas-madness!

I promise to be less grumpy when I'm back! ;):) x

Hope you stayed fairly dry, greent, I got awfully wet just in 15 minutes walking from the station.
