Lloyds PPI refund overpayment

I won my case against lloyds tsb and i was due a refund of £1400 charges and £150 for compo. The £1400 should of been deducted of my loan which its has but they've also paid an additional £1400 into my bank account aswell as the £150. SO all in all they've paid me back £2950 lol.

Do you think they'll notice? :rotfl:

If not is there a certain amount of time they have to find it by before its mine? Or can they claim it back years on?

I would think that same time limits apply to them as to us. 6 years from when the mistake happened or 3 years from when they should have been reasonably aware. Not certain though

    Hi there
    Well done on your success.

Would that have been the interest (simple)etc they refunded into your bank account, I have read that with some is they refund towards the running account and interest refunded into your account.

I may be wrong though lol.
The one and only "Dizzy Di" :D
  • Just don't spend the money, consider moving banks so when they do find out they can't just take it back.

I would not spend it either. There is a good chance this will be discovered and I think FOS would find in favour of the bank in cases like this too.
  • lucky you at least you can earn interest on it until they notice
