Go to the royal mail website and click on po box section.
You can set up a po box so that any mail that is due to be delivered to your home address can be diverted to your po box address at your local sorting office.
You can the pop down any morning in the week or sat morning to collect all the creditors letters without family or friends knowing.
I am speaking from experience as this is what i have set up as i do not want my family seeing my posts.
The cost for 1 year is £125.75 (you can do it for 6 months)
Good luck i hope this has helped you.

there is no need for a PO box, you can collect your mail from the delivery office for free

My sister did this when they were gutting and re-building their house and there was no letter box (or floors or ceilings, for that matter). For a few weeks they collected it, then my mum (who lives around the corner) asked the postie to deliver my sister's mail direct to her.
No charge for any of that as far as I remember.
Mind you, we live in the boondocks. Not sure you could do that in London."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

shouldnt be doing this, not so clever if the postie ends up getting sacked for it
redirections are a paid for service and as such the postie could have been disciplined for that
i know it sounds petty but staff get pulled for much less0 -
I know it's a bit naughty, but we're in a village and we know the postie..."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

you can chip in for the leaving present then

in all seriousness, delivery staff in particular should be protecting themselves right now
that means doing the job by the book0 -
I love my postie and wouldn't want her to get the hat rack, so will know next time. I'll tell my mum!"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
