My complaint isn't about the money its about the way I was spoken to. I have been trying to sort this out all week. I wish it was 'simple'.

In the first transcript he said "I will change the date for you" he was all ready to help you, never said anything about charging you and then you started jumping on him about something different. Of course he got irritated. And you WERE rude. So was he I guess, but you aren't squeaky clean either. I'd just drop it and next time someone helps you accept it graciously, don't leap on them about something else.

Im failing to see where "he was so bloody rude it was untrue" and the "awful customer service"

If he told you to F off and that he wont help you then fair enough, but to me it seems your throwing your toys out of the pram over nothing

glad i'm not the only one who thinks this,

to be honest, he wasn't half as bad as you are making it out to be, the only thing he said was telling you not to be rude that was bad (but not majorly bad!)

the only problem with chat like that - and even in forums , meaning get so mixed up in text because there is no emotion or pronounciation(sp?) it may have been that he took something you wrote the wrong way - but i do think you were probably just as rude
Can you see the mountains through the fog?

I suggest you read back through the whole transcript objectively. It is totally unclear to me what the issue is (you're not very clear in explaining it to him), but despite this he is trying to help you by changing the date. Because you keep sending multiple messages at a time, things get very confusing: first you are talking about changing the date of payment, then about a fee for changing this date, and finally about a fee for late payments. This comes in a tirade of messages from you which make it hard for him (and me!) to keep up with what you are asking.

I am surprised that he went as far as using the "r" word to you... but in this case it seems that he was genuinely trying to help you and you were confusing the issue.

For future reference, when using online chat systems, I suggest sending one message at a time, detailing exactly what the issue is. Have some patience and wait for them to reply before asking follow-up questions regarding fees etc. It may take a little while longer, but it means that you get point by point resolutions to your questions and it makes the chat operators job (of helping you) easier.

Wheres the part where they are rude to you? Seems like normal customer service chat.

To change the date you have to pay 20% of what you owe upfront, hence what i said about the 'fee'. I can see I wasn't exactly overly friendly but i had been waiting over an hour for an operator after failing all week. Still no phone call from them either :( I won't complain this time as I can see everyones point but I am desperate to get this sorted and have no idea how to now.

What do people expect when they deal with a company with a name like "Wonga"???

Stick with real companies in future, and if real companies won't give you any money then go without. Simple.
