ITV 1 HD is launching on Sky next week but only in England and Wales. UTV is an independent franchise who have made some murmurings about a UTV HD channel in the future.

Does anyone know the position?

If you have Sky HD, you can already get ITV HD1 by manually adding the channel. Just google it or look at Youtube.

Programmes are limited, they are currently only showing football matches on it...which is great!!

My understanding is that this ends next Friday but I hope I'm wrong.

Seem to be adding a bit more content.

Dancing on ice final was on itvhd as was Ant and Dec's "push the button".

Only had them on because the kids watch them, honest

Like already stated, just add it manually to your sky box but don't be banking on catching too much on it

ITV HD has been available in Ulster for over a year!

Just tune to Freesat HD Channel 977 and use the "red button"

Great picture especially with sport programmes but HD programme coverage is still limited as is BBC HD. Still, if it is free we can't complain!
