Hi
I've produced a document inMicrosoft word with text boxes and graphics. For some reason it refuses to print out and the computer just hangs when I try to print it. Any ideas if I should have done anything more to the document ????????????????????
Grateful for any help as this document is needed ASAP for tomorrow,
Cheers guys,

At what stage does it hang? is it printing at all? Background printing? spooling? Can you print from other applications or even documents within word?
have you applied the latest updates for word? what version is it?Nice to save.0 -
check everything is connected & turned on, most of the time its a simple solution :-) Make sure the correct paper size in the printer setup box is set. Might be better to export doc as a pdf and print that way.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

Its all connected fine thanx guys and it I've discovered it is spooling but its taking virtually forever and then crashing. I dint seem to have save as PDF option so how would I export in that format??

what version are you using? There should be a little icon (red & white) which says convert to adobe pdf.
Or go to print>presets>pdf>printHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
 Tried to put into pdf but still wont print but could be doing something wrong. What does spooling mean???????????

spooling just means it's coping data to the printer, if it's a large document it can take a long time, just leave it for a while it may print.0

I rather suspect that the document too large and the printer doesn't have enough built-in memory to deal with it - or it could be the PC's memory cache. How big is the document?
Have you compressed the images? In the document select all (Ctrl+A) then right click on any image, format picture, picture ... then click on "compress" in the bottom left hand corner.
Shut down & restart to clear the memory cache. Make sure that the print queue is empty and then try to print it again with nothing else running.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
This compressing doesnt seem to be doing anything??
I press compress it pops up a message about picture optimization??? doesnt seem to print wahatever???
The document is 643 kb
I've emailed it to my home computer and am hoping it will print out there later!
Thanks for all your help
Cheers
